I am aware you weren't, but you were asking details of limitations.

As far as specializing goes, on the one hand, my interest in magic is in academic self-advancement rather than purpose, and thus I did not wish to limit my experiences within the field. On the other, the main virtue of a specialist is quantity rather than quality.
