I was a soldier back... [He hesitates. Home? In the 1940s? New York? Earth? For lack of a good idea for a specific thing to say, he clears his throat and continues.] where I'm from. A captain.

I can fight, I know how to use firearms. If I am going to have to remain here, I'd like to help keep these people safe. How do I approach someone about the Military.
