-Oh hey it's a gun range! Or at least a reasonable holographic facsimile thereof. Maya has set up the ECHO's camera on a shelf behind her and moves to stand behind a table with five guns on it.-

So, everyone else I met during that thing with the space bikers... yeah, that thing... anyways, everyone I met seemed kind of amazed by the gear me and the other Vault Hunters were carrying around, so I thought I'd give a demonstration of some of my inventory. I'm not opposed to loaning them out if it's really needed, but I think we should probably know what everyone is capable of, in general.

-She picks up the first gun, a pistol.-

This is the Dahl Corporation's "Dahlminator". It was never mass produced as the only ones ever made were left behind in the Caustic Caverns when Dahl left Pandora. This is one of a few in existence, never to be replicated, largely because the caustic elemental charges it uses... -She opens up the chamber to demonstrate the glowing green core.- ...were manufactured from the acid lakes in the caverns themselves. You could make another gun like it, but it will never be exactly the same, or as effective.

Now, this gun is what we call a "dart" E-tech gun, meaning instead of physical bullets, it fires energy darts. But the Dahlminator's are special. Watch.

-Maya points the gun right at the camera, firing a short burst... Three slow moving swirling blips of energy move out from the barrel, sure, but their velocity is considerably drawn back, and to top it off, they move AROUND Maya to hit the mounted target behind her.-

Homing bullets. -The target proceeds to melt in a cloud of acid produced by the bullets then exploding.- With a timed discharge.


I've got four more guns here. -She gestures to each gun with a sweep of her hand.- Pick one, and I'll show it off. I have more, too.

[Cassie does not trip. She has catlike reflexes. She also does not hear that message as she literally dashed out her door. She is carrying a backpack bulging with weaponry. No doubt this alarmed passersby, which was fine with her as it got them out of her way. She ran all the way there.]

-A few security checks later... the gate to the holorange opened, and Maya was on the other side, still holding the Dahlminator.-

What took you so long?

Not all of us got that foxtrot lostech storage system. [She says with a frown and begins shrugging out of her bulging pack'o'guns.]

-Oooh, loot.- Well well, what do we have here?

[abtakha]

Cassie unzips the bag, and inside is an astonishing array of weapons, including a holdout pulse laser pistol, assault rifle, one of the ugly, kitbashed knuckle dusters used by the Jagtooths, and her pride and joy, a heavy but not uncarryable SRM launcher.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about... -Maya had stars in her eyes as she reached out to touch the new guns. Some of these... no ALL of these would fit right in on Pandora.-

You gotta pay me back for the ammo. And only one shot with the SRM launcher. Not too many reloads around here. [Tsundere about her guns? Yep. But that was her signal to go ahead.]

Well so long as you extend me the same courtesy. Any of mine catching your eye?

I wanna try that snipe rifle and the pistol with the homing PPC. ["Homing PPC" what a crazy sounding phrase...If only the guys from the reg could see this]

Careful with that rifle. It fires explosive rounds, and the recoil is fierce. -She hands it over to Cassie.-

[abtakha]

[Cassie takes it, grinning. She drops to her belly, braces the gun and slowly squeezes the trigger.] Sierra, all that from a snipe! If I had one of these I wouldn't be hauling around that pinche man-port SRM.

The best part is that there's enough of an explosive radius on those rounds that you don't even have to aim that well to make a shot fatal. It allows for more tactical elbow room in terms of where you're shooting.
