Who: Pinoko and YOU
Where: Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital
When: Days 1-5 after the event
Warnings: Feels. Lots and Lots of feels. Pinoko is a feels bomb naturally. But she's infected now... so. FEELS.
This was a mess! Pinoko had been called in (like just about everyone else on staff) to help with the scary virus which was spread by sound. How did viruses spread by sound? Viruses weren't supposed to work that way!
She was also trying to help patch up some of the people who had been hurt when the virus was first dropped. And there were a good number of those. Add to that the number of infection cases that kept coming in and... well... Pinoko was not having the best of days. (Especially since she was still taking classes on top of everything so some of this was stuff she was seeing for the very first time!)
"YOU! Get back in bed!" Pinoko yelled at one of the well-meaning patients trying to sneak off. "How is Pinoko supposed to get you better if you keep getting up? Damn!"
She blinked then. That... was new. Pinoko didn't swear. "I said a bad word," she said, blushing a little. "Maybe I should try that again..."

That road trip would have sucked even more than it did to begin with if the Doctor hadn't been with her.
"War is definitely a time when you need hugs. So there." Even in medbays. Especially in Pinoko's medbays.
She smiled up at him at the thank you. "You're welcome! If you get hurt again, I'll just have to fix you again!"
A thank you from someone who had never thanked anyone before was just as valuable to Pinoko as the paper fan the Doctor got from that little kid. It was worth just about a million yen. It was the perfect payment.
"You should probably get going," she said gently. "Pinoko will probably have other patients soon."

But that's his cue and this whole thing is so fraggin' weird and awkward that he's gonna throw himself at the excuse to go. "Yeah. Fine. You...uh, remember what I said. Tell Autobots to get slagged."

She crossed her arms in front of her. Geez, Deadlock, why'd you have to be like that? But at least she was still smiling.
"Don't worry. If I see any Autobots, I'll tell them to frag off!" Oh dear, Pinoko was listening to Deadlock as her swearing life coach. This was not good.

He can't help but crack something almost like a grin. "That's the spirit. They don't like it, you tell them to come talk to me." Deadlock can be persuasive.

Deadlock, don't argue with the tiny nurse who just patched you up. She will hug you forever.
"What will you do if I send them to you?" Pinoko asked, smiling a little. She could guess though. "And could Pinoko watch?"
no subject
"Them?" Snort. "Gonna teach 'em to respect that just because someone's small doesn't mean you can be a jerk to them."

"You're a nice robot-man, Deadlock! Don't worry, Pinoko won't tell anyone!"
Which meant that Pinoko would tell everyone, but that was okay.

Deadlock's thinking about checking himself in for a closer look because there's clearly something wrong with the way his spark seems to glow all warm and gooey-like with the way she smiles up at him. He is not nice or friendly. He's a bad, bad robot.
He just doesn't like people picking on smaller and weaker people. That's. All. Harrumph.
"Better fraggin' not." Or else he'll...uh....something.

She totally would. She was making all the coolest new friends!
"You should really get going though. Because I should get back to work. And I think you'll make a full recovery!"
And Pinoko had to look into the very important question as to why robot anatomy wasn't in any of her lessons. Because clearly Robots were People Too, and how was she supposed to treat them if they came in with more than a glorified bullet wound?
