Doom 3 Event: Part 2 Log

Who: Everyone!
What: Part 2 of the Event. Kicking butt mostly.
When: Anytime during the event
Where: In the rip and around it.
Warnings: Violence.

To say that demons patrolled the area would be a lie. They didn't have the mental process to actively work up something of that sort. Instead, they simply waited where they were, hoping for someone to come across their paths. For some demons, they'd happily get in fights with their own brethren if provoked into it. Their only allegiance seemed to lay in causing as much chaos as possible and straight up killing.

Occasionally, they ventured outside the hole in space but with the current incursion of others, they tended to stay inside. All the better fighting took place inside anyway. And other than the guests, there were more than a few AFLAK agents inside the hole. The demons were definitely ready for the amusement that was inevitably going to be showing its face.

[OOC: Everyone is free to start their own threads with this! Saturday, the crystal destruction thread will go up. NPCs/enemies will visit threads and feel free to request any that you want specifically.]

"Bet you get a lot of honorable, head-on charge types arriving where you're from." She said with a grin. She couldn't stay frustrated for long, not with the mad, fearful joy of battle in her ears.

Fortunately whips were one of the weapons of Silat...though never weilded by people three meters tall, to be fair. She tucked her rifle into the crook of her arm and assumed a fighting pose, letting of a burst just to goad him into attacking.

Cassie had to leap backwards to travel faster than the sine wave of the whip cracking. Still it came forward enough to rip her rifle from its already tenous one handed grasp and send it skittering across the floor. It slashed into her hand too, but she hardly felt the pain. She was too focused on other things, having one of those horribly clear split-second infodumps you get when your adrenaline's that high.

She couldn't escape. Whips were kinda crappy weapons but they did one thing well, and that was area denial. She had nothing left to shoot or hurl at the demon.

There was really only one option left: suicidal last-ditch charge. She could get close and maybe give the cabron a belly ache before one of those huge clawed hands caught her and cracked her head open like an egg on the bulkhead.

So she sprinted forward at the exact moment the whipcrack ended, where the reload would take longer and she'd be inside its effective radius anyway. Drawing Blood Drinker, she aimed for an icepick-gripped stab into the creature's lower stomach. She didn't think she was gonna survive this, but at least she could give the foxtrotting thing sepsis of the bowels.

Dad, Guru Johann, Patricia...gonna join y'all now...

Cassie just paused there. She was utterly dumbfounded. Also, covered in demon bits. She looked like the last scene of Carrie.

When the gears of her brain reengaged, she went to go check on Gunther.
