[It didn't take long for Hannibal to figure out the network on his tablet. By now he had explored part of the city, and he's ready to find a job like Graham Baker recommended him. Not having had the chance to meet Pinoko yet, he decides to take advantage of the communication system here.]
Good afternoon, my name is Hannibal Lecter, and I recently arrived to the city. I was told in the briefing about the necessity of getting a job. My abilities lie in the medical field, and he suggested I contact Ms. Pinoko to see what kind of training I would need to take to be able to start working. I can only hope she will see this message.
Additionally, once I'm cleared to work as a doctor, I will be offering you my services as a psychiatrist. If you feel therapy would help you with any problems you have, feel free to contact me. I will do what is in my hands to help you.
[He smiles briefly, nods as a farewell and then turns off the feed.]

Hello, Dr. Lecter. I am Pinoko. I can't really tell you anything about who you would need to talk to about psychiatry, but I can try to answer any questions you might have about getting training and starting to work here at the Fleet.
[Something about this whole thing seemed a little off. There had to be plenty of other doctors on the ship. Why would he want to talk to her? (No one took Pinoko seriously, especially not right away. It was irritating, but she had come to accept that.) He could just go to the Renaissance Center or talk to Dr. Kolding or something. Be professional, be polite, just like dealing with one of the skeezy JMA doctors at home. That was probably the best way to approach this.]
But what he didn't expect at all, was Pinoko to be a child. Then again, he met a centuries old guy when arriving, so who is he to judge? This world has some interesting people.]
Nice to meet you, Miss Pinoko. I apologize if my request is bothersome to you. Mr. Baker indicated me that I could contact you about this. It would be good help if you could tell me how the medical staff works here. I believe it must be quite different than is in my world.
[Here, have a smile, don't be scared of him, he's intrigued.]
Well... I have to admit that I haven't been working very long. I've been working with Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital. The doctors here are all pretty nice. Dr. Kolding reminds Pino-- reminds me a lot of a doctor that I know back home.
[She corrects herself quickly. She's trying to stay professional and she's had enough people call her on the talking in third person tic of hers. Keep it together Pinoko.]
They're going to want to test your knowledge. See how much you know, see the extent of your knowledge. I know I don't look like it, but I'm a nurse back home. [And an unlicensed one at that, but she kind of didn't mention that to the doctors of the Fleet...] Once they find out what your general knowledge level is, they're going to want you to take some tests to prove you're competent. There's also getting caught up with the current technology and such. Which they might want you to take classes for.
[She frowned here. She had learned a lot since she had been here. But classes, and more importantly tests were still pretty scary.]
Xenobiology is hard but the space technology is nice at least.
That does sound like a good place to work at, Miss. I'll be heading there as soon as possible in that case. Provided it's within a reasonable hour, of course.
And as for my knowledge being tested, it's quite understandable. I realize that the people who crafted this ship are much more advanced in different kinds of science. I'm quite sure, for one thing, that I never had to take xenobiology during my medical training. I'm sure I will have to do more than one class. [Well, he'll learn new things, he can't quite complain.]
Xenobiology is interesting. Did you know that there are some aliens that have three livers? And some that have skin like rhinoceroses? And others that have organs that I've never even seen?
[And yes, she sounded excited about that. But that meant that if... when she eventually got home that she might be better at doctoring than the Doctor was. And that was a big deal, okay?]
Well, there's all sorts of ways to get around. There's public transportation, and one of the lines goes near the hospital, so if you don't have a car or anything, you can always get there that way. Dr. Kolding seems to be in charge around here. He's really serious, but he's not too bad.
[She paused, considering him for a few moments.]
What kind of medicine did you practice back home, Dr. Lecter? I know you mentioned psychiatry. Do you have any other specialties? I'm a surgical nurse.

Only problems I got are a few too many fraggin' Autobots on this ship.
[voice]
I am afraid I never heard about Autobots before. [He doesn't really do the sci-fi stuff back home. Not classy.] But I could help if you wish to explain further.
[voice]
[Robots with emotional issues: that does take some imagination.]
Help? Why? You got a weapon?
[Because you don't sound like the type, honestly.]
[voice]
No, unfortunately I don't have any weapons with me. [Not entirely true, he could probably easily improvise a weapon, if he wanted to.]
[voice]
Right. Then you're no help against Autobots.

That is quite fine, everyone has their own preferences. It would be best you chose a doctor for therapy whom you feel comfortable with.
[Video] It is, I'm just dumb~
Depends on what kind of therapy we're talking about, if you know what I mean~
[Video] aww nah, you're not!
I don't offer that kind of therapy, if it helps you feel reassured. My therapy can be considered quite standard. [Right...]

Not yet, anyway.]
Falling back into old habits, Doctor Lecter ?
+ video, private +
Do you mean my offer for therapy? I only wish to help the people from this world. Many of them must be confused or angry about being here. Aside from that, I was told it was necessary to have a job here.
+ video, private +
Yes, I mean your offer for therapy... I hope that you are ready for some sacrifices, Doctor Lecter. You'll never find anything like your office or your house over here.

Well so far it appears no one is interested on it, Will. In such a case, I believe I would have to resort to surgery, it would not do to be unemployed.
As for the housing in this place, I am indeed disappointed. It's only one more reason for me to find a good source of income.

What do you feel after 'murdering your problems away'?

Usually both at the same time!

There is a sense of power in taking someone's life, especially when one considers it's being rightfully done. And by rightful I don't imply that society has to approve of your actions.

[Not that Janeway thinks just yet that she should ask for his services. Captains are supposed to be unshakeable, after all.]

[He considers her sentence for a moment.] I assume you traveled in space before?
