EVENT: MINING COLONY V'VORTE

Who: Councilor Labismat, Science Captain Urist McEngineer, OPEN
Where: V’Vorte
When: June 4th-8th
Warnings: N/A

The Fleet stations itself near V’Varga, the more populated planet of the V’V system, but the majority of the ships are ferrying people down to V’Vorte. Mainly desert, the only things of interest on it seem to be the Mining Plains, which stretch for hundreds of miles; the Blue Circus, which lights up the nights with laser shows and fireworks; and the small town that supports the first two and serves as a small island of normality among the eccentric carnies and boisterous miners. There are rides to and from the Teuberg twice a day, in case you would rather not stay overnight, which are overseen by Science Captain McEngineer, who gives an energetic explanation of the types of metal needed when asked. Back on the Teuberg, Councilor Labismat can be found greeting the ships coming back in, checking on any progress being made.

The V’V natives are mostly humanoid in appearance, with reddened skin tones and large eyes that help them see in the dimmer light of their sun. Most of them, especially the miners, are quite friendly and seem unfazed by the variety of species the Fleet has brought to their doorstep. The only Transports who might get a second glance are the robotic ones, as the mining mechs vaguely resemble them.

Espio's glare is heavy and at some moment it does make Shadow turn his way. Being on receiving end of Espio's issues, is starting to be incredibly annoying, Shadow probably would not care if the chameleon would stop giving him mixed signals and settled in one emotion.

How annoying! And Shadow is about to teleport right beside Espio, when he's offered if he wants to play at the shooting game he's standing by.

Sure, why not? Watch him having fun, Espio! Because he will and you apparently hate that.

Oh, Shadow was free to play these games, and Espio was going to attempt to ignore him. It wasn't really working, though, he really did have a chronic inability to ignore the hedgehog. Especially when the woman had enough of failing and walking away, giving him nothing else to watch but Shadow.

"You look ridiculous with a gun," he finally said - airgun or not, it was true as far as he was concerned. Still, with Shadow playing games, he was relaxing a little.

Shadow's ears flicker at the ... was that an insult? However he does take his time to respond because for a moment he's actually focused on shooting things. It comes strangely easy to him. Only when he's done —after only missing one of his three chances—, he dignifies Espio a stare, and not a full one at that.

"No one asked you."

"Don't care. I'm telling you anyway."

Shadow didn't need to know about the one time Espio tried to learn to use firearms properly and nearly shot himself. Nope.

"You'll look even more ridiculous carrying one of those around," he added, pointing at the fluffy unicorn.

"You've got a big mouth, Espio." Please do share in some future... He'll even laugh accordingly and everything.

"Why would I even think of carrying one of those?" He says as he gives the thing a glance and proceeds to take a new loaded airgun from the game's attendant. It's... so fluffy.

"Yeah, what's your point?"

Espio shrugged. "They're the prize, so if you don't want it... why pay to play?"

[personal profile] chaoscontroller 2014-06-13 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
"No point, just as your inane babbling."

... Oh, Espio did have a point though. It's Shadow's turn to shrug, if only one shoulder. He holds the gun as if he had done it for years and he quickly ends with every target, flawlessly.

"Because I can."

Espio frowned, trying to push back his competetive side - he was useless with a gun, after all. However, he knew what he was good at. Bending down, he picked up a small stone, aimed, and threw it at the last target before Shadow hit it. "Suit yourself," he said, glancing aside and pretending that no, he didn't throw anything. He wasn't fooling the irritated stall-holder though.

"Hmph..." He saw that. Kinda.

"What are you trying to do, Espio?" Yet again there was that constant passive-aggressive attitude. And while Shadow doesn't exactly seem mad, he does seem annoyed. If that was Espio's intent, it was working.

Target practice.

"I'm not trying to do anything," Espio replied, as he folded his arms. He had a feeling Shadow didn't just mean the stone throw.

"Well, then why are you messing with my game?" It, of course, wasn't entirely about the game... But in part it is because, it was his time, not Espio's!
