EVENT: MINING COLONY V'VORTE

Who: Councilor Labismat, Science Captain Urist McEngineer, OPEN
Where: V’Vorte
When: June 4th-8th
Warnings: N/A

The Fleet stations itself near V’Varga, the more populated planet of the V’V system, but the majority of the ships are ferrying people down to V’Vorte. Mainly desert, the only things of interest on it seem to be the Mining Plains, which stretch for hundreds of miles; the Blue Circus, which lights up the nights with laser shows and fireworks; and the small town that supports the first two and serves as a small island of normality among the eccentric carnies and boisterous miners. There are rides to and from the Teuberg twice a day, in case you would rather not stay overnight, which are overseen by Science Captain McEngineer, who gives an energetic explanation of the types of metal needed when asked. Back on the Teuberg, Councilor Labismat can be found greeting the ships coming back in, checking on any progress being made.

The V’V natives are mostly humanoid in appearance, with reddened skin tones and large eyes that help them see in the dimmer light of their sun. Most of them, especially the miners, are quite friendly and seem unfazed by the variety of species the Fleet has brought to their doorstep. The only Transports who might get a second glance are the robotic ones, as the mining mechs vaguely resemble them.

It was the end for that bell, anyway. He did not even hit it as hard as he could have, or else he would have sent himself flying to the air. If he ever needed a reason not to play these sorts of games again, this would be it. In addition, the man seemed to think that this was good reason not to pressure any more giant monsters into playing.

Francœur would have preferred the bell, even if it was broken. Instead, he got a large toy monkey that was about the same size as Shadow. Despite its size, it looked just right for someone as large as he was. Put a hat and some clothes on the toy and it could vaguely pass for Charles, he presumed. He ran his gloved hand over the white fur and squeezed the soft toy. Though it was only a toy, he gently treated it as if it were a precious treasure.

He held the toy out to Shadow. From the guilty look on his face, he was offering him the toy as a way to express his regret for getting Shadow in trouble and ruining the game for him.

After looking how the toy was being treated, having it offered makes Shadow lift an eyebrow at Francœur.

"You earned it, keep it." What would he even do with it?

He chirped briefly and he curled his arm around the toy. His mandibles tenderly ran through the soft fur as he tucked the toy under his chin. Though he lived in fur back when he was a normal flea, fur felt completely different back then. He had not known it was so soft.

Francœur seemed to want to follow Shadow now. It was rather lonely being alone here and he knew nothing about the games. He chirped while he looked around, questioning in his own way about where Shadow was going to go next.
