EVENT: MINING COLONY V'VORTE

The Fleet stations itself near V’Varga, the more populated planet of the V’V system, but the majority of the ships are ferrying people down to V’Vorte. Mainly desert, the only things of interest on it seem to be the Mining Plains, which stretch for hundreds of miles; the Blue Circus, which lights up the nights with laser shows and fireworks; and the small town that supports the first two and serves as a small island of normality among the eccentric carnies and boisterous miners. There are rides to and from the Teuberg twice a day, in case you would rather not stay overnight, which are overseen by Science Captain McEngineer, who gives an energetic explanation of the types of metal needed when asked. Back on the Teuberg, Councilor Labismat can be found greeting the ships coming back in, checking on any progress being made.

The V’V natives are mostly humanoid in appearance, with reddened skin tones and large eyes that help them see in the dimmer light of their sun. Most of them, especially the miners, are quite friendly and seem unfazed by the variety of species the Fleet has brought to their doorstep. The only Transports who might get a second glance are the robotic ones, as the mining mechs vaguely resemble them.

Hey, Deadlock's mind is all about plushies right now. He's as innocent and pure as the day is long.

And she's gonna forget about that whole rassling sexy stuff. He's trying to! N-not really.

"Oh?" Just ignore the fact that he was so startled by that suggestion he dropped a plushie. Wo-wow.

Plushies are a good second choice. Especially since they seem to be the theme of the hour. Which is okay with her since it seems to have made a buffer between them, softening their usually sharp edges.

If Deadlock wants her to forget, he's gonna have to distract her with something else.

And is Flashpoint shamelessly flirting? Hell yes she is. The plushies have made her brave, all right? She's not ready for the night to end, a night she thought was gonna be a lonely drag, watching other people have fun. Instead she's making optics at a plushie carrying Deadlock, who's not scowling at her for once. "Gonna have to take me home and hand me engex to find out." By the way, you dropped your Mr. Crabby.

Who knew the magic of plushies? He's not sure what it's all about but somehow he can't get upset about it. Not when she's talking to him like that, and those sorts of saucy comments are tingling through his systems.

"Building up some fraggin' suspense, there." Meaning the engex thing, which is totally gonna happen, once he's stowed his fuzzy haul. But hey, two can play at that game so he's gonna just beeeeeend on over to pick up his crab. S-sexy? He's not real good at this.

They just need plushie grenades now and their lives will be complete. She's got a few things tingling in her systems now and it feels a little like being overcharged, except she hasn't had a thing to drink all night and she can still walk straight. It's....weird. Nice, but weird.

"Anticipation makes the payoff so much..." Yeah that totally is her trying to sneak a peek under his aft skirt as he bends down to retrieve Mr. Crabby. COUGH. "...better."

You totally didn't see that by the way.

Mission: find someone to make a plushie version of Boomer. Got it.

And he seconds the 'weird' and maybe, even, the 'nice' part. All he knows is it's a lot more fun with Flashpoint. "Wish you coulda seen the guy's face when I kept winning." Not because he's bragging, but because he figures she'd enjoy that look herself.

And he kind of wishes he could have seen the look on her face, too, just now. Because the obvious attempt to rearrange herself as he stood up was really tantalizing.

More fun is certainly true, she'll give him that. A few weeks ago she'd have laughed at the notion, but hey! Look! She can adapt! Deadlock is actually a decent mech to hang out with, when he's not being a total aft.

Attitude-wise. Because she kinda wants to get her hands on that aft noW that she's had just enough of a peek to tantalize. And Flashpoint is totally playing it cool, she did not just get caught checking out his rear specs, nope!

"I bet he was torqued. And surprised. Not that I would have been." Oh is that a compliment? Maybe. She's seen him shoot and his throwing arm isn't bad either. It'd be no surprise that he'd dominate. Except... "You'd've had some competition though, if I'd gotten there earlier."

She's good at covering that whole 'busted peeking' thing. If he didn't know better...? But he does know better and she is so busted. Which in his world is a good thing. He might have to let her get an optic full of something else, to try to catch her again.

"Yeah, didn't know what he was up against." He gets that a lot, by the way. Scourge of the Autobots and all. Like he is.

"Oh, yeah? You wanna bet?" Really, it's cute you think you can outshoot Deadlock. Pssssh.

Yeah well, she doesn't look ashamed! Nope. TOTALLY unguilty. And that IS a word, Mr. Undereducated, what do you know? She's just got that look on her face because she doesn't like getting caught at covert ops. Which Operation: Deadlock's Aft Recon totally is. She needs intel on how to tap that!

"Bet he thought it'd be harder to hit the target just because it's proportionally smaller compared to you. Why does no one understand the scale thing?" She's pretty sure you have big bullets Deadlock. You have big bullets, right?

"Please," SCOFF, "When do I ever turn down a challenge?" Bring it on, Deadlock.

Deadlock would recommend bribing him with sexy, sexy grenades but that would make him sound like, you know, the kind of mech you could buy. Which, nu-hunh.

"Yeah, well, guess he learned a little lesson in physics there." Which involved math which Deadlock didn't understand but he doesn't need to know math to fire a gun. Or, in this case, throw a plushie.

"When? Well, this might be your first time, how do I know?" First time for something, hon hon hon?

What about doing sexy things with grenades? That way no items are exchanged and it's not being bought. Don't ask what those sexy things are yet, because uh, SPOILERS. Not because she doesn't know yet, shush.

"You taught him I guess." Who ever thought she'd be saying that? She must be in a really good mood. "Organic brains, just not the same."

A bark of a laugh. "Oh no, you're not getting off so easy!" On the bet, that is. Heeeeee might get off though. If he plays his hand right, and she likes it when he finally folds.

Hey, he is willing to contemplate a grenade-based barter economy. Just get him the paperwork and don't complain if his signature is kind of scrawly.

"Hfff. Hard to believe they've survived this long." Not just this guard, but, you know, his mortal enemy McEngineer.

He bites down on the 'getting off easy' dirty joke that is trying to push its way out of his face. He does have some sense of self-preservation! "Yeah?" This is a close second, though. "I'll just, you know, leave some room to be impressed."

Flashpoint is down with that economic system. It's sure better than what they had before the war. And she can forgive the scrawly signature, especially if he's not writing on a flat surface... Honhonhon.

"Tenacious little things." They still have her respect, just, not always in the smarts area. Or the evolution area. Because still organic. And babies. WTF.

Come on Deadlock, don't hold back, worse that could happen is she punches you right? And who knows, that might just be a love tap. Flashpoint has both less shame and less self preservation than him, so she leers back, wielding innuendo with all the subtlety of a grenade launcher. "Lots of room."

"Or not smart enough to know what's good for 'em." Like staying out of Deadlock's way in the one and only moment he's actually kind of having fun. How dare they!?!

Hey, hey, he's the one in charge of the sexy talk here. Stop showing him up like that! "You have a lot of practice serving Decepticons?" Scuse him while he preemptively ducks a punch he figures he's definitely earned.

"Probably both. How do you get one without the other?" Flashpoint kinda...knows this from experience. Is an example thereof. Is exemplary. Whatever.

OH. OH he did not! She makes that 'oh snap' face, taken aback and engine giving a revving little growl. But wait--wait! She's gonna recover here. Wait for it... "Yeah. Plenty of knuckle sandwiches. Want one?"

"Point." Like in the front of your helm. Deadlock though, also isn't smart enough to know what's good for him, but he is at least smart enough to know that he doesn't want to frag this up.

And that that engine rev is really kinda...cute. Or something. He just knows he wants to hear more of it. She's cute when she's angry. Also when she's fighting. For the record.

He's just going to blow her a kiss, and toss a plushy at her. He ain't afraid of you and your fists. Cute fists.

"Glad you agree." She's just gonna put a mark in her column there. Because she is totally keeping track. Yes.

You know what else is cute? The fact that Deadlock thinks anything is cute. Say that to her face and she'll be at your mercy all night. Which might be thanks to passing out from sheer disbelief but...still technically a win for him.

Her face catches that kiss with a look of pleasant surprise, which breaks into tilty grin. She tries to catch the plushie but it bounces off her pile, but a flick of her foot sends it back in his general direction. "Gonna get that sandwich right in that mouth if you aren't careful." Or maybe she won't both with the knuckles and just use her face..."

"I didn't agree!" Hey, hey, now. He's not gonna just agree with an Autobot. "Just, you know, acknowledged. A thing. It's totally different."

TOTALLY different.

And that kind of lopsided grin on her face is also pretty different, but in a good way. "Hey, I just ordered a drink. No sandwiches." But she can serve him that drink with her face if she wants. He'd be down with that. And excuse him while he catches the plush she's kicking up toward his face. REFLEXES. Are you impressed? Please tell hm you're impressed. Admit it--that was pretty cool.

"Totally different." That is her acknowledging a thing Deadlock, not sassing you.

TOTALLY different.

"Good, cuz I'd hate to mess up that pretty mouth of yours." It could be useful for so many things besides eating knuckle sandwiches. Maybe some different kind of sandwiching could happen though, like him between her and a berth, hmmm? Maybe drink serving is just an appetizer.... She doesn't know but she likes where this is going.

And Flashpoint sees you being all impressive, Deadlock. She's in too good a mood to pretend she doesn't. You can catch one, but can you catch two?

"Yeah." What he said. Totally different. And kind of...not horrible.

"I'd hate to have to mess yours up, too." Like if she did anything shady. But now he's thinking about her mouth and things he would like to do to it, and oops, that plushie assault ends up landing on his spaulder.

She's pretty good with not horrible, especially if that means gentler, teasing disagreements instead of talking like she's crazy or something.

Well, not that kind of crazy anyway. Maybe it's kinda crazy to flirt and taunt someone like Deadlock so shamelessly, but that's the good kind of crazy and ain't nobody telling her different.

"Oh like you could even get close." SCOFF. But it's a friendly scoff. Mostly. "Unless I let you." Which...mmm....she probably would. Yup. And maybe the way her glossa travels over lip plates says she's following Deadlock's same train of thought.

HA, which works to her advantage, she'll have to try that as a distraction tactic more often. "Aww, poor Lobsta bit the dust." Her turn to bend over totally casually and pick that plushie up. No peeking under her doorpanels, Deadlock!

He likes that kind of crazy, then, because nobody flirts with him and it's kind of new. And...fun? He thinks?

"You think I couldn't?" I-is he hearing that right? Is she daring him? HIM? HA. He's all up in that grille like...yesterday.

But he's so busy thinking about what he could do to that sassy mouth that the words actually take a klik or two to register. Lobsta? dust? Okay 'bite' he could get down with, though. And then, yeah, the view. "Endangering innocents again?" Not his best taunt but he's a little distracted because you bet he's eyeballing the doorpanels.

Good. Cuz that kind of crazy likes him. She might even tell him someday. For the shock value of course. (Because really, who would be flattered by that?)

"Think I'll believe it when I see it." Yes that totally is a dare. Bring it!

Flashpoint grins as she scoops the plushie lobster up off the ground, turning back in a fluid motion that a) makes those door panels swing and b) is hopefully fast enough to catch him looking.

"Should know better than to trust me with innocents." That should probably say something about her character as a solider but the way her mouth tilts it seems to say more about her private life with the inexperienced. Erm, yeah, let's just pretend that's happened, more than that one time.... with that warborn private.... ANYWAY.

He could withstand the shock, he's pretty sure, so, you know, do your worst.

"Think you'll be believing pretty soon." Not right now, of course, because she's expecting it now. But soon. SOON.

And yeah she probably totally busts him looking and after a klik of sheer panic, he decides, you know what? So what? She's gonna waggle that aft at him, he's gonna look. So there. In fact, he's gonna let those optics go right back there and pick up where they left off, traveling in a slow line up her body. "Innocence is boring, anyway." She, though, anything but.

Careful what you wish for Deadlock, if Flashpoint ever experiments with revealing more emotions than 'I give a slag' and 'hey you're not so bad' it might get messy. She has no experience there what-so-ever.

And yes, she totally does bust him looking, have a little extra hip tilt in exchange for so boldly looking. "Definitely boring. I however, am not." Boring or innocent.

"And really, the suspense is killing me here." Not entirely sarcastic, that. Make her a believer, Deadlock. She's kinda looking forward to...uh, the rest of the night. And whatever else happens. "When the hell are we gettin' to your place anyway?"

Bring it on, Flashpoint. He's all about the mess.

Wait, that sounds, uh, wrong.

But he's not gonna deny he was eyeballing her, and his mouth quirks at her hip tilt. Nice. "In so much of a hurry to start serving me, are you?" Because, yeah, he's pretty eager for it. "What's the matter? Getting tired?" Hey, what? HIs quarters just happen not to be right next to a carney. But here they are, at the door, and now he has to juggle his plushies to get his keys. "Hold these." OR, you know, not.
