For Science
Despite ending up in some bizarre place that wasn't home, again, and running into someone that not even ten minutes before waking up in this place had been trying to kill him. Sam was doing pretty well, likely in part that after twitching out in a corner over seeing a younger version of a face that helped raised him on someone that was trying to kill him, he realized the murdering was not going to happen. For now at least.
This meant poking about the place. More specifically finding used or about to be thrown out electronics and other gadgets he could take apart and figure out. Mostly because he tuned out everything regarding becoming a student here and thus part of what exactly he would gain from such.
This little adventure proved a bit more profitable then he had originally thought, since he hadn't had to barter manual labor to get things. Now how to get it back to his little living space and where to start first was the question. Considering he was going to draw more looks if he kept wandering around carrying battered items.
((OOC: Action tags or prose is more then welcomed brosefs. Also placeholder but I work split shift today so I may not be able to get to tags until late tonight or tomorrow depending on how long I have to spend cleaning my kitchen after this parent dinner.))

It stopped to speak to the man with the electronics parts. "Hello! Are you taking that to a recycling center? That's very responsible of you!"
no subject
"Naw, can't have too many spare parts. Didn't realize people still kept pets in the future."
He says as he eyes the items the other...person is carrying.
no subject
"It would be sad if they didn't, wouldn't it? Lots of people could use a little extra companionship. Like maybe if you're in the hospital for a long time, or your children have all left home."
"Are you a technician, then? Or maybe an engineer, like Mr. Geordi?"
no subject
"Keeps people busy at least. Though, I do think if the pet sweater craze is still around it should be protested. You don't put pets in crazy looking sweaters do you?"
If the stupid dork of a smile twisted a little in awkwardness at not knowing who you are talking about it's hopefully slight enough to make it not that stupid looking.
"Not exactly, I just dabble in anything that catches my interest and hey being from the twenty first century means I have to play catch up a bit here."

Then Tsumugi seemed to recover herself, picking up her bag once more. "I'm sorry, that was awfully rude of me; it's just that I never thought I'd meet someone from a thousand years ago. Um, if you don't mind me asking, does that mean that you come from Earth?"
Sorry about that, Flynn. The subject of pet sweaters was, for the time being, completely forgotten.

Why did space technology have to be so hard?
"Um... do you need help carrying all that?"
She kind of hoped there was a person behind all that stuff, and that it wasn't a wandering pile of sentient electronics. Though that option would be kind of neat too.

It was an automatic reply, though he did shift the bundle in his arms a bit so he could see and be seen a little more clearly. Mostly because he didn't even know who or what he was talking to right now.
"Uhm thanks anyways little lady."
Because clearly automatic logic is that you're a little kid and only a dick is rude to a kid.

Pinoko was smiling.
"That's a lot of stuff. What do you need all that stuff for anyway?"
It was a valid question. There were all sorts of electronics there. And Pinoko might be a little disappointed that there was a person behind all that stuff, and it wasn't just a walking sentient pile of electronics. Oh well.
no subject
Sorry Pinoko, you may have to look somewhere else on the ship if you want to see sentient toasters or such.
"What has you out and about here lady?"

So she'll be the first one to see Sam, surprised at his...normalcy. That was -sadly- very rare in this place.
"Hey!"
What a good way to get a random person's attention!
no subject
Welp Kay, he's also a bit surprised at seeing a you as well, and you actually trying to catch his attention there.
"Hey yourself. Did I snag something you were looking at? Though I didn't think many would be interested in junk that much."
no subject
"Huh? Oh, nope! Just kinda...saw your normalcy! If that makes any sense, heh."
A hand goes to her scarf before extending it out for a handshake.
"And...just maybe you look as lost as I am."
no subject
And he'll just shift some of his junk a bit so he can shake as well.
"Well hello to you lost one. May we ever annoy the regulars with our questions about everything."

So, armed with copies of all the said forms, Tron did the most logical next thing. Go look for the User to consult on a next step.. and since Sam was about the most adept at translating between User-nonsense and things that could actually be parsed, he went looking for Sam.
He did take a couple moments to observe the shambling mound of broken bits before speaking, though. That was a pretty impressive collection.
"User."
One day he'll put a bell on you just watch
Someone is still not exactly over that phrase being spoken to him, or more like has hasn't exactly had time to not recall the entire arena of death where he met the one speaking that phrase just yet.
Yeah, so there may have been a slight higher pitch to his normal tone there and though a few things likely fell as he jumped to turn towards you he managed to keep most of it. Have a glarey and not happy user Tron because that was not cool at all dude.
"Do you get some sort of enjoyment in doing that?"
no subject
"I am not Jesus."
And also with the taking everything literally.
"I require clarification of User protocols."
no subject
He will never get used to that aspect of you, it ruins so many quips if he has to turn around and explain what they mean.
"And I know you're not Jesus it's a figure of speech that would take way too long of a lecture to explain why and who he actually is."
...Seriously? You hunted him down because you didn't understand something. This is going to become a common thing isn't it?
"What confused you this time?"

She slows a little in her step at seeing the walking trash compactor, raising an eyebrow.
"Building a fort?"
Force, she hoped he knew that he was carrying around a bunch of scrap metal.
no subject
"Maybe if I get bored enough and somehow reach that point that I have too much in the way of spare parts."
Because tinkerers can never have enough wires and gears lying about if they decide to build something in boredom.
no subject
"So you're just making a habit of hoarding trash?"
no subject
Don't insult his twenty first century habits there.

Why no he's not just bullshitting and trying to not give up the info that he's new and a bit behind on the technology times.
